The Big SLJ Walk
Walking is a great way to get your daily exercise and anyone can do it. We are lucky to have amazing footpaths and trails around Sevenoaks and we’d like to share more of them with you by inviting you to join us for The Big SLJ Walk.
This will be a guided walk of roughly 2 hours at a sociable walking pace starting at 10am on a Sunday - roughly monthly. The Big SLJ Walk is free to join but we’d appreciate a donation of £1 per person which will be donated to charity - for the moment we are fundraising for Tani Pads in Malawi. We’d also like to do some litter picking en route at the same time - Runners call it plogging, we are not sure what the walking term is!
Anyone who enjoys walking can join us including dogs, although we would expect dogs to be well behaved and if needed, on a lead. Each Big Walk will leave from a different location, we may end up at or near a pub for an optional drink at the end. Obviously you wouldn’t have to come to every walk. The Big Walk will be hosted by SLJ and Oaks Blokes but it is important to know that we are just leading this, not coaching.
The next Big Walk will be on March 3rd
Meet point TBC - we are planning to walk in Chevening but need to confirm start and parking point.
Time 9.45 ready to leave promptly at 10.00am.
Route - MUDDY - Hilly initially, then undulating, lovely views. Some horses, maybe sheep.
