Who are the classes for?

SLJ fitball classes are suitable for beginners to advanced fitness levels. During the class you are able to work at your own level so that you get the most form the class. The class may not be suitable if you have a back or neck injury, or if you have had a baby within the last 4 months, please contact us if you have an enquiry

Are the classes for ladies only?

All classes are for ladies only with the exception of Wednesday 20.00 which is a mixed class. 

When are the classes held?

Monday 11.15, Monday 19.00, Monday 20.00, Tuesday 08.15 FULL, Tuesday 09.15 ,Tuesday 10.15 Wednesday 11.15 Wednesday 19.00 Wednesday 20.00 Friday 10.30 

What will the class do for me?

The class uses principles developed by physiotherapists working with people with poor core strength.  The fitball provides an unstable base which encourages the you to engage your core abdominal muscles during the class. Overall Fitball classes will help to improve core strength, tone your body and increase your fitness levels. 

How long is the class?

Each class lasts for 60 minutes. 

Do I need my own fitball?

Fitballs, mats, weights, bands, wobble boards and balance sticks are all provided. Just bring some water to drink. 

Where are they held?

SLJ fitball classes are held in our private carpeted studio close to Hollybush recreation ground

How much does fitball cost?

Classes are paid for in courses of ten or eleven weeks and work out at £8 per class for SLJ members, £9 for non members. 

What happens if the course has already started

If there are any spaces left on a course it is fine for you to start after the start of term. Full payment for the term is made and the missed weeks then refunded.

What happens if I can't make a class due to illness, holiday or work? 

We run 10 classes per week so if you need to miss one you are welcome to come to another session in the week as long as you check with the instructors however we cannot guarantee spaces on other sessions so please bear that in mind when planning holidays during the term dates.

How many people are in the class? 

There are a maximum of twelve people in our classes meaning everyone gets close attention, advice and support.  

What do I wear?

Loose comfortable clothes and clean INDOOR shoes are a must

The next course starts in September 2017

What happens in school holidays?

There are no Fitball classes during Half Terms or on Bank Holidays but in the Summer, Christmas and Easter holidays we put on extra sessions for those who wish to attend them.
